The climatic health resort of Siegsdorf (approx. 0.5 km from the motorway exit) is a central starting point for many excursions such as: B. to Chiemsee with the royal castle, Berchtesgaden with the salt mine or the Kehlsteinhaus and the Königssee. Salzburg with the zoo, the House of Nature and the Großgmain open-air museum, the Werdener Eisriesenwelt, the Kaprun high mountain reservoirs, the shopping towns of Traunstein, Rosenheim and Munich; Ruhpolding with the Holzknechtmuseum, Inzell, Reit im Winkl, the automobile museum and the Amerang farm museum, the Maria Eck monastery - the possibilities are countless and the offering is diverse.

Right in the neighboring town of Bergen, the Hochfelln cable car takes you high up. Relax in the Siegsdorf swimming pool - one of the most beautiful outdoor pools in Chiemgau - or in the “Vita Alpina” in Ruhpolding. Get your circulation going in the Kneipp facility or refresh yourself at a healing spring (Primusquelle Bad Adelholzen). There is fun for the whole family at mini golf, in the Ruhpolding fairy tale park and at the events in the Stone Age village of Siegsdorf. Visit the Adelholzen “Water World” and immerse yourself in the millennia-old process of creating mineral water. Marvel at the Siegsdorf mammoth in the Siegsdorf Natural History and Mammoth Museum or let the incredible story of the then 16-year-old finder of the mammoth work its magic on you in the Mammutheum. For the sporty among our guests, there are golf courses in the area (Ruhpolding, Chieming, Ising), tennis facilities, riding stables and of course numerous well-maintained hiking and cycling trails - including mountain bike trails. Fishing opportunities are available directly in Siegsdorf an der Traun.

In winter, inviting winter sports regions are quick and easy to reach - e.g. Hochfelln, Unternberg, Winklmoosalm or the Wolfsberg in Siegsdorf/Molberting. For cross-country skiing and ski touring, there is a 35km ski touring network with perfectly groomed trails at all times. There are also toboggan runs, well-cleared hiking trails and curling rinks. Or you can go ice skating on the lake, in the stadium (Inzell) or in the hall (Ruhpolding).
